Dr. Eun Kyung (Ellen) Bae, DACM, L.Ac.
Owner and Founder of Claris

Dr. Eun Kyung Bae is a board-certified Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in the United States. She has been a practicing acupuncturist for well over a decade. She is the owner and founder of Claris Acupuncture Wellness Clinic in Stony Brook, NY. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Bae combines traditional treatments with western physiology to provide the most comprehensive and individualized treatment to her patients.

Dr. Bae became a licensed and certified acupuncturist after graduating from New York College of Health Professions. Dr. Bae obtained her doctoral degree in the field of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Science. Prior to her career in acupuncture, Dr. Bae practiced as a licensed esthetician (LE) after graduating from Christine Valmy International School.

Dr. Bae also is a certified Medical Cannabis consultant and clinical advisor. She obtained her Medical Cannabis certification from Pacific College of Health and Science. Her expertise lies in the coaching of the therapeutic effects, approaches, titration methods of medical cannabis alongside pain management treatments. 

On top of her many specialties, Dr. Bae is a certified and licensed health and nutrition coach. She obtained her degree from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where rather than focusing on dieting, Dr. Bae highlights the need to make lifestyle changes towards wellness and a more fulfilling future, rather than just losing weight. Weight fluctuates, lifestyle choices are forever.

Dr. Bae specializes in pain management. From sports-related injuries, overuse, to chronic pain, Dr. Bae believes the key to alleviating body pain is in the understanding that the body is made up of many different systems working together. Dr. Bae understands how crucial it is to find the cause of pain, not just alleviate the symptoms within a single system. Dr. Bae utilizes traditional treatments alongside modern western technology and integrative medicine and finds value in collaborating with MDs, physical therapists, and radiologists to provide her patients with the most tailored and comprehensive clinical treatment plan.
